Penny Appeal USA is proud to host Bassem Youssef, the Egyptian-American comedian and former surgeon widely recognized as the “Jon Stewart of the Arab World.” Known for his fearless satire, his groundbreaking TV show, and his starring role in the acclaimed documentary Tickling Giants, Bassem Youssef has become one of the world’s most influential voices on politics, media, and social justice.

With his sharp humor and candid storytelling, Bassem will bring both levity and insight to an urgent conversation on what’s happening around the globe, highlighting the human cost of conflict and the power of truth to challenge oppression.

We’re also honored to welcome Hazami Barmada, Founder of the Humanity Lab Foundation, social impact strategist, and bold Palestinian changemaker. A renowned voice for justice and innovation, Hazami will join the panel as an Impact Strategist & Social Innovator, bringing fearless advocacy and visionary solutions to the conversation.

This event is not only an evening of entertainment and reflection. It’s also a call to action. Together, we’ll raise critical funds to support Penny Appeal USA’s life-saving humanitarian programs both at home in the USA and abroad.

We’re also honored to welcome Yusuf Omar, award-winning journalist, storyteller, and co-founder of Hashtag Our Stories. Yusuf was onboard the Gaza Flotilla when it was struck by a drone. He survived, and his videos reached millions worldwide. His interactive presentation will bring a first-hand, unfiltered perspective to the realities of crisis and the role of storytelling in shaping change.

Paul Elia, actor, comedian, and writer, will emcee the evening with his trademark wit, and Brother Ali, the legendary hip hop artist and activist performance will elevate the night with music, truth, and soul.
