Support a Solar Well
Powered by clean, eco-friendly solar energy, our Solar Powered Water Centers are built by drilling deep wells—reaching over 200 meters—equipped with advanced solar pumps. These centers channel safe, reliable water into large tanks, ensuring an ongoing supply of clean drinking water for entire communities.
Each system can also include dedicated points for animal hydration and small-scale kitchen gardening, multiplying its impact across households, schools, and local agriculture.
You can help build a Solar Water Center today! With contributions starting at just $300/month, you and other generous supporters can fund a full center—costing $25,000–$35,000, depending on the country—and create lasting transformation in around the world.

Tharparkar is a village area located in the Sindh Province of Pakistan, and the majority of residents do not have access to clean drinking water. Nearly 2,000 young children under the age of 5 have died in this area since 2011, with lack of clean water being a major contributor to these preventable deaths.

Thirst Relief is our global water access initiative designed to bring clean, safe drinking water to communities in need. Through a variety of solutions — from hand pump wells and solar-powered water centers to full WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) systems — we help combat water scarcity and transform lives.
We take a localized approach to water solutions, which include:
Hand Pumps & Deep Wells in countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Malawi
Solar-Powered Water & Power Centers in Pakistan and Lebanon
WASH Projects (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene) in Syria, Somalia, Malawi, South Africa
Each project is tailored to the community’s geography, need, and sustainability.
In 2024 alone:
135 hand pumps and 20 deep wells served 6,018 people
7 solar wells reached 14,975 people
WASH initiatives provided clean water and hygiene services to 31,572 individuals
In total, that’s over 52,000 people given access to safe water this year!
Our Solar Water & Power Centers are state-of-the-art systems that deliver water and electricity to entire communities. Each one:
Serves up to 4,000 villagers and 1,000 livestock
Powers schools, homes, and places of worship
Stores 3 days’ worth of water for continuous access, even on cloudy days
It’s a sustainable, zero-emissions solution that brings long-term dignity and ease to families living in harsh environments.
We work closely with local contractors and community leaders to ensure all wells are:
- Properly maintained
- Locally monitored
- Designed with long-term sustainability in mind
In WASH projects, we also include hygiene education to help communities protect and preserve their water sources.
